The Crown Block – Steak And Seafood Restaurant

Opened on April 17, 2023, The Crown Block, a Michelin recognized restaurant, has been satisfying eager and hungry taste buds of its visitors with their delicious regional steak [the great quality meat provided by the ranches and farms in Texas] and the seafood options [brought to you by Texas’ east coast and the Gulf of Mexico.]
Set right in the top level of the 3 levels of the Ball (the globe like structure of the Reunion Tower has 3 floors), the Crown Block offers a majestic 360 degree of the whole of Dallas city and MORE!
The night view from the top of the Reunion Tower offers an equally jaw dropping view as the city lights twinkle like stars in your eyes, each one being more beautiful than the other.
Operated by-
The luxurious restaurant, Crown Block is run by famous restaurateur Elizabeth Blau and her husband, chef Kim Canteenwalla. They are based in Las Vegas and operate the well-known Honey Salt and Buddy V’s Ristorante and many other restaurants. They have even led many well known restaurants around the world.
In fact, Crown Block is the latest venture of Blau + Associates – the consulting firm of restaurateur Elizabeth Blau and her husband, chef Kim Canteenwalla.

You can be sure that your taste buds will thank you for visiting this place once in a lifetime and tasting the dishes the expert duo have in store for you. Oh, and they even wrote a book together called Honey Salt: A Culinary Scrapbook.
There’s something that y’all must know, though, that the restaurateur Elizabeth Blau and her husband, chef Kim Canteenwalla, have seen it fit to switch off the rotating feature of the restaurant. But the event room, right below the restaurant, can still rotate if y’all choose to book it out for an event and request for it to rotate.

The Crown Block – A lil’ History
The construction of the iconic Reunion Tower was completed in February 1978. At the beginning, the Tower had its first restaurant called Antares.
The shutting down of Antares was followed by the opening of the restaurant called Five Sixty (the name gave a slight wink at the height the restaurant was located at.) Due to the pandemic, Five Sixty had to be closed down permanently.
Blau + Associates, chose to establish Crown Block right in the heart of downtown Dallas (also about 470 ft. high), making it their latest venture. And that’s how Crown Block was born and opened on April 17, 2023. Though the restaurant is new, it won’t be the chef and the staff’s first rodeo, so expect some real fine dinning, after all, it’s a Michelin recognized restaurant!
Unlike its predecessors, Crown Block won’t be rotating, but you’ll still get to enjoy the mesmerizing view while you dine, just make sure to choose the table with the view you’d prefer.
