Howdy, my fellow Texans! Missed y’all so much! Well, as we move towards mid-December, it’s time to get ready for one of the most joyous times of the year – Christmas! And the New Year’s Eve!
If you happen to be in Dallas around this time of the year, you wouldn’t wanna miss out on the most spectacular New Year’s fireworks in the whole of Dallas.
And this fireworks will be happening at the most iconic structure the city of Dallas has!
Can y’all guess the place? Alright, lemme give you a hint – It’s also called the “Ball.” You guessed it! It’s the Dallas Reunion Tower!

Lone Star NYE At Reunion Tower
As the clock ticks closer to the last 11:59 p.m. of the year 2024, it’s time to ring in 2025 the Dallas way!
Dallas’s iconic Reunion tower has organized the spectacular Lone Star NYE celebration again this year (this will be their ninth time in a row!) in collaboration with the Hunt Realty Investments, Inc. to decorate the Dallas’ night sky with beautiful bright colors with its fireworks and drone show, filling the air with joy and excitement to welcome in 2025!
Last year, when it was time to welcome 2024, the tower authorities mentioned that they’ll do everything to make every NYE bigger and better, so fastened your seat belts, because, this Lone Star NYE sure’s gonna be a fun and joyful ride!
And we know, when Dallas’ iconic tower does something, we can rest assured, it will be iconic 😉
This year’s NYE celebration will be made possible because of the generous help of the following partners of the Reunion Tower, Dallas :

Date and Location
Lone Star NYE at Reunion Tower fireworks and drone show in Dallas, Texas, will start precisely at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. So, save the date for a date with the Ball. (sorry, I know that’s corny but can’t help it :P)

Oh, and the fireworks and the drone show will last for a whopping 10 minutes! So make sure to a get a lot of pictures and if you are more like me then, simply hug your loved ones and soak-in the moment.
No matter your style to celebrate, this NYE at the ball, will surely be an unforgettable one, plus the BEST one Dallas has ever seen yet!
History
The Ball has been organizing the NYE celebration event for 8 years now (it will be their ninth time when they’ll execute their beautiful firework display to welcome in the year 2025.)
The fireworks show at the Reunion is something that the whole of Dallas looks forward to as they ring in the new year. I would say, it’s becoming more of a new year tradition for all of Dallas.
And I’m sure people from all across Texas will soon flock to Dallas to catch the glimpse of the Reunion tower adorned in beautiful lights being the best welcome wagon ringing in the new year for all of Dallas.
The last year’s NYE celebration at the Reunion tower, i.e. the eight edition of this magical Lone Star NYE celebration, was the biggest one yet! Almost about 15,000 pounds of fireworks were used along with about 500 drones and a whole lot of pyrotechnic special effects launched from the Reunion Tower.
What’s Special About The Lone Star NYE 2024?
As all eyes turn to the Reunion Tower at 11:59 p.m on New Year’s Eve the sky over will shine bright with different colors and jaw dropping drone show! This event will feature over 5,000 pyrotechnic special effects launched from the Reunion Tower.
(Pyrotechnics (word literally means: fire-art)are exposive chemical compositions that creates various awesome visual and audible effects)
The drones will perform their awesome and uniquely choreographed dance in unison, making your jaw drop and your mind blown as you try to figure out the different shapes they make in the canvas of the Dallas sky.
Additionally, the 259 LED lights of the Reunion Tower, will shine bright letting all of Dallas know 2025 has come! Y’all expect this year’s NYE to be better than the last one!
*The outer ring (the outer observation part) of the GeO-Deck will be closed to public as they’ll be installing the fireworks on to the ball. So, in case you are planning to visit the GeO-Deck on December 31st, do know you won’t have access to the outer ring. I suggest visiting the GeO-Deck a day before to enjoy the outer ring. Best Spots To See The Fireworks
There are a number of places to watch the fireworks from, but the best spots to have a better look are mentioned below.
The Crown Room
To have to the most closest view, there’s no better place than the Crown Room, operated by the Crown Block, the Michelin recognized resturant and the only steak and seafood restaurant at the height of about 470ft. right inside the Reunion Tower!

Experience luxuious dinning along mouth watering dishes (go for that steak! 🥩😋) and the majestic views of the city lights and yes, the dazzling fireworks!! You’ll enjoy different sparkling coctails and desserts along with the DJ!

Note : You can watch the fireworks on the lawn only if you’re a guest at the Hyatt Regency Dallas or Crown Block Dallas
Valet and Parking: The Crown Room hasn’t provided an parking and valet information for the new year’s eve but we will keep you updated about it. (But even if they don’t provide the info there’s a parking spot right beside the 300 reunion blvd)

Hyatt Regency Dallas
The tower being the part of the Hyatt Regency Complex, Hyatt Regency is another place to stay and enjoy your visit and the beautiful fireworks, if you are visiting Dallas.
Note : You can watch the fireworks on the lawn only if you’re a guest at the Hyatt Regency Dallas or Crown Block Dallas

HQ Dallas Rooftop
This is nearer to the Reunion tower compared to other options below and therefore a better place to watch the fireworks.
Also it’s right between the omni hotel and the Reunion tower, so you’ll able to catch omni hotel light up too if you grab the right spot over the rooftop!
And don’t worry there’ll be snacks and other snacks available to munch on! (I so would love to dig in all that’s available at HQ Dallas while enjoying the view of the Dallas Skyline!)
Virgin Hotel Dallas
Located at 1.64 miles away from the Reunion Tower, it’s one of those top hotels in Dallas that provide a clear view of the Reunion Tower.
I must say that it is one of the most expensive hotels in Dallas. Feel free to explore free options below or explore other awesome places to stay on the list below.
Trinity Grooves
This another dinning place with a number of restaurants on the west end of the margaret hunt bridge.
You can arrive early to get a grab a good spot where you can overlook the dallas skyline. (It’ll be at some distance from the Reunion Tower, so maybe get binoculars if you got them or you can use your phone’s zoom in feature to get pics!

- The Echo Lounge & Music Hall: Located at 1323 N Stemmons Fwy, Dallas, TX 75207, United States.

Other Free Options To Watch The Fireworks
Oh I love free! And Reunion tower does want the whole of Dallas to enjoy the fireworks! And in my opinion the below mentioned options are the best options if you are not going for a watch + dine, but please feel free to choose according to your preference.
- Ferris Plaza : Ferris Plaza right in front of HQ Dallas is a great place to watch the fireworks.
- Trinity Overlook Park : Located at 110 W Commerce St, it does provide a good view of the Reunion Tower
- Parking Spaces : There are tons of parking space all around the Reunion Tower. You may have to pay for the parking but the views you would get is worth it!
- Margaret Hunt Bridge : The view from the bridge offers a panoramic view of all of Dallas skyline. There’s a chance that the bridge will get occupied by other spectators so be sure to arrive early and grab your spot!
Although if you are gonna look for a place yourself to capture the icons fireworks, I suggest –
- Please choose a place somewhere safe, where you and your family can safely enjoy the view.
- Please, wear appropriately, because it’s sure is gonna be cold out there. Be surely to arrive early the grab the spot you’d prefer!
- There may be vendors on the hunt bridge to sell snacks and even balloons, but if you park somewhere and there’s no snack point around, it’s better to pack something from home, in case you wanna snack on something.
- Okay, this is a personal suggestion, look out for a place where you have a view of the Omni hotel, the Reunion Tower. (It may be somewhere towards the west or south west of the Reunion Tower.) Doing this will make for an epic light show as you’ll be able to capture the Reunion Tower’s fireworks, the drone show and the watch the whole of Omni hotel light up!
